"con-ver-sa-tion": the spoken exchange of thoughts, opinions and feelings, talk.
Welcome.
My name is Philippe Borremans and I started ConversationBlog.com in 2005 for two reasons:
- The first reason is that I feel there is a need for a new approach to what is called "Media Training".
- On the other hand I also want to train communications professionals to use weblogs and RSS technology in their daily work.
Why the combination ?
I am convinced that media relations and PR has fundamentally changed in the last couple of years and that our profession will never be the same again once we understand the impact internet technology has on our day to day job, our customers and our relation with the public at large.
I am also convinced that communications is a "people thing". And if you take all the hype and jargon out of it, you understand that the core of our work is to have conversations with people. Real people - not statistics or target audiences - and real conversations, not advertising slogans.
Please follow the navigation on your right to have a look at my media training sessions and weblog/RSS workshops for communicators.
I also update my blog on a regular basis. Topics cover media relations, crisis communications, online PR, RSS, weblogs and I also point to some very useful online tools.
Don't forget, it is no conversation unless you talk back, so please comment.
