New Media Conference in Dubai.

I have been invited by the Institute for International Research to speak at the "New Media" Conference 2008 in Dubai in December.

My topic will be about the use of social media in crisis situations and I also have the opportunity to run a pre-conference workshop - a kind of 101 about new media for business communications.

I am really looking forward to this conference as it will be the first time I visit Dubai...

It will also be great to meet up again with Robin Hamman from Cybersoc fame and finally meet people like Philippe Delterne and many others.

One speaker is really special though... We'll be joined by Shekhar Pakur, director of beautiful movies like The Golden Age and Elisabeth. He also blogs and I just love his quote on his homepage.

Make sure you meet Steve Vaile when you are in the region - I think he is speaking at the event. They work with us and most of the big media & events companies in Dubai
