New Journalism Blog & Citizen TV in the Netherlands.

Two quick little snippets of interest today:

The "Shaping the Future of the Newspaper" blog or Sfnblog is a collection of well written and researched blogposts from different contributors about... right, the future of the newspaper industry.

One post called "Newspaper Next" references a report (opens a PDF) about innovation in the industry and new business models to use/follow and test.

  • In the Netherlands citizens get 30 minutes of fame on 7 regional TV channels.

Endemol, the company behind "Big Brother" launches "Ik op TV" (Me on TV) - daily half our programs uploaded by citizen journalists.

Last week I saw examples of IPTV at Alcatel-Lucent in Antwerp and was thinking that one day we'll be able to just upload our news items on our own private/public TV channel based on broadband technology.
