3D Worlds, and it is not Second Life !

I have been testing out two "3D environments" other than SecondLife today.

gogofrog.gifGogofrog is a 3D world inside your browser.

There is nothing to download; just sign up and start creating your own 3D space within the Gogofrog universe. Your space consists of several walls which you can use to show off your latest blogpostings, pictures etc... You can specify which type of content will be displayed on your walls.

3B.net is different; you need to download some software and then your can pick a template for your own virtual room. Again you can specify which information will be shown on these "walls" and even create an Avatar. The information you "publish" to your virtual space comes from your other online presences like your blog, your LinkedIn or Xing profile etc...

Up till now I have this feeling that 3D or not - it is all about having yet another online presence...
