asking that question is like asking how long should a piece of string be?

to answer that question properly is more complex... like, 'how long should a podcast be, given my audience / participant type'?

i.e if the audience is based in north america where lengthy commuting isn't uncommon, maybe the optimum length is higher than listeners based in europe?

how about approaching the question in a different way altogether...

like, 'if i were to produce a podcast on xxx... how long might you commit to listening to it on a weekly / monthly basis'?

by the way, was chatting with Laurent Haug in Geneva about you earlier.. I nominated you as a possible speaker at the second LIFT conference... http://www.liftconference.com/blog/ ... suggested perhaps you did something on social media in the corporate space... nothing confirmed.. just a conversation...

see ya

It really depends on the podcast. If it's good content and warrants a longer show, I still listen. If it's boring and lags on, then stick with shorter. I listen to podcasts as short as several minutes or as long as over an hour. Good programming is more important than length.
