Testing out remote blogging via Zoundry.

Griff Wigley, from Wigley and Assoc. pointed me to this new remote blogging tool called Zoundry. It allows you to post without having to log into your blogging platform. Exactly what Qumana did for me till I started to get trouble with text size and replication to my Squarespace blog.

Zoundry looks good and has a clear interface - I am using it now to write this post. Some of the features are the following:

  • what you see is what you get editor (we'll see that later when I check this post on my blog).
  • tagging with Technorati, Del.icio.us, Ice Rocket, Flickr, Buzznet, 43 Things and LiveJournal.
  • preview, html and xhtml integration, inserting pictures.
  • more here.

Another interesting feature Zoundry has is the automatic integration of affiliate links. They call it the Zoundry service. It is simply an easy way to recommend products on your blog and receiving an affiliate fee for it. Below an overview of the companies they have an agreement with and the % of fee they pay out.

I wanted to try it out but they only accept by invite and only from people in the US. Now I am very curious how this post will look like... will it take into account my font type and font size setting etc...? We'll see.

I'm sorry to learn that you have had problems with text size and *replication* to your squarespace blog .. did you advise us of your problems, and if so, did we respond ?

i'd also love to learn more baout what exactly you mean by *replication* .. does that mean that you see posted to the blog exactly what you wrote ... ?

Regarding text size, and other text-related issues .. we are working on fixing this issue, and we are also hoping that the next upgrades to the commercial licensed editor at the core of Qumana will make advanced users happier.

Hi John,

You can find part of my problems with qumana related on this blog (search for qumana) but in short: the latest version didn't want to recognise my blog and after several e-mails to Qumana and Squarespace no solution was found so I stopped using Qumana.
