Wat's next ? Training and  Conferences...

Just finished a second presentation at the Agoria meeting center in Brussels. Today's presentation was given to clients and contacts of the Belgian PR agency Leads United, one of the few on the market here that has actually trained PR Consultants, interested in new media.

It is always interesting to see how (in this case Belgian) communicators, journalists and marketing people view the blogosphere. Most have heard about blogs and RSS (and one reporter has his own blog) but what I see in many cases is that the link between these "new media" and the use business people can make of it is not immediately clear.

Through cases and examples I try to give them an insight on how RSS can be used to monitor the market and competitors or how a blog can be an effective communications tool and/or community builder. Needless to say that the first interest of communicators is the monitoring aspect of RSS and feedreaders.

This makes me think that I need some time to build a good screencast on how to set up Klipfolio as a real monitoring dashboard. A step by step visual explanation for PR/Marketing people is my next goal. I already downloaded Camstudio to do this. I have been told that this program is a good free alternative to others on the market.

liblogo.jpgTime for a Blog Boost: Makes me also think that I would need some time off between my full time job as PR Manager and my moonlighting business at Conversationblog.com to get my ideas listed and plan future training sessions. I am jealous of entrepreneurs that can do this like Patsy and Denise from the Blogging Squad. They write about their out of the office/brainstorming day and must say I would like to do the same.

Next week I'll be at Blogging4Business in London, looking forward to meet up again with some colleague PR Bloggers.
