Changing the world by blogging "en masse" ?

Keith Ferrell over at TechSearch blogged about an interesting concept:
 
What if all bloggers unite (or a couple of thousand of us) and put virtual pressure on governments, corporations and institutions to change the world ?
 
Keith figures that 200.000 of us could put such a pressure on the powers that be that we could force a consensus on global warming for instance...
 
Now that would be "power to the people".
 
Keith takes the idea from a blog pressure action that really worked; the release of Jill Carroll as documented here by TechWeb.
