EU Communications Plan - no blogs ?
Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 22:11 As a follow up on my previous post on the EU's communications strategy I am adding the following links:
- The Commissions "communications white paper", presented yesterday by Ms Wallstrom (opens a PDF)
- The website, as described in the whitepaper, to collect input from EU citizens. As stated on the site: "We would like to have your comments on the suggestions made under each area. New ideas related to the White Paper are also most welcome."
- The article from EUobserver on the press conference of the white paper entitled: "Launch of Brussels' communication initiative marred by confusion."
Although this announcement has some clumsiness to it I do believe it could be the start of a real 2 way communications initiative from the EU towards its citizens. At least they are asking questions and input.
I'll give mine on the website (hell, I'll even send them a full PR plan if they want to) but already regret that there is no blog to share my thoughts. The EU is looking for comments and suggestions in the context of 2 way communications... So why not through a blogplatform ?
PS: slow blogging the next days... off to Barcelona for a relax week end till Sunday.
